Laura Thomas www.laurathomas.co.uk/Laura Thomas is an award winning woven textile artist and designer producing artworks for the contemporary interior.  Educated at Birmingham City University, The Royal College of Art and ASF – Weave, Laura has been based in Cardiff since 2003 selling work through selected galleries and shops as well as undertaking freelance consultancy and public art commissions.Examples of Laura’s artworks can be found in The V&A, The National Wool Museum, the Crafts Study Centre and The Powerhouse in Sydney. Alongside her creative practice Laura has is also a woven textiles lecturer at Coleg Sir Gâr, has curated a number of textiles and applied art exhibitions, and coordinates the ‘Flourish: Continuing Professional Development for Craftspeople’ programme for the Makers Guild in Wales at Craft in the Bay, Cardiff.
