Background information:

The London Cloth Company was founded by Daniel Harris in 2011. Having acquired a rusting hand loom from a mill in Wales, he took it apart, put it back together, and taught himself to weave. Within a year he had acquired two further looms, two pern winders and a warping mill, and established the first cloth mill in the capital for over one hundred years.

They weave predominantly wool and wool/cotton fabrics on a range of rescued and restored machinery dating from 1870 onwards. Most of their looms have been rescued from abandoned woollen mills around the UK and painstakingly been restored and brought back into work. Everything is done on site, using techniques which have not changed for decades.

The majority of their work is weaving fabrics to order, however, they do hold some stock.
Our bespoke service is open to designers, companies or individuals wanting something unique and perfectly suited to their own style or requirements.
