Job: Showroom Manager of The Guy Goodfellow Collection

The Guy Goodfellow Collection   showroom will be moving from No. 13 to No. 15 Langton Street, Chelsea, in February 2017.

The new premises will allow the Company to establish a destination showcase, where they will display their own unique collection of fabrics and wallpapers, as well as a curated selection of historic papers, plain and jacquard linens, and individual decorating accessories.

The move has provided the opportunity for a dynamic individual to make a creative contribution to developing the business.

Job description & key tasks
The position will be full-time, 9.00am to 6.00pm five days a week. In addition to managing the showroom, the role requires the successful applicant to be the receptionist for the Guy Goodfellow Architecture and Interiors business.

Key tasks
• To develop on-going relationships with interior designers and their clients, meeting and greeting those who visit the showroom, and responding to phone calls and email requests for samples. Build on leads and follow up sales.
• To maintain the highest level of customer service by acting as the liaison between the showroom and the designers represented in the showroom, giving accurate stock information and responding in timely fashion to clients’ queries.
• To commit to gaining an understanding of print, weave and wallpaper production methods, and an in-depth knowledge of the showroom stock.
• To develop and maintain a wide-ranging knowledge of the interior design market, displaying an awareness of current trends and market leaders.
• To create and maintain showroom displays – this will involve working with the Creative Director of the Guy Goodfellow Collection to plan the window and internal displays, and ensuring the best possible presentation of all products at all times. Keep samples stocked and tidy.
• To assist visitors to the showroom in developing design schemes which will inspire or fulfil a client brief. This will require an understanding of the interior design process, which will be gained by working in this creative environment.
• To supply a daily report on an Excel spreadsheet – logging all visitors, sampling requests and enquiries, so that the impact of the showroom on the business can be assessed. Keeping a daybook to record key events.
• To contribute to the organisation of PR events and other marketing activity, including social media. Occasional evening attendance will be necessary.
• Guy Goodfellow Ltd receptionist duties will include greeting, and notifying the team, of all visitors, and taking deliveries.

The showroom manager will report to the Creative Director of Guy Goodfellow Collection, who is based in Oxfordshire. Weekly meetings will be held in London to ensure support is given where required.

The showroom manager will have a dotted reporting line into the Chief Operating Officer of Guy Goodfellow Ltd.
