Himatsingka Europe, based in London, is the European sales and marketing office of the Himatsingka Drapery and Upholstery fabrics manufacturing facility, which is the largest of its kind in India, and a world leader for its class of products.

The operation is vertically integrated from pre-weaving yarn preparation to post-weaving finishing processes. The facility was built with a vision to produce Drapery and Upholstery products that epitomize cutting edge design and quality.

Over the years, its design and product development capabilities have paved the way to create products for the most recognized brands in the world.The role
A full time customer facing sales and design position, based at our new London head-office. An exciting, dynamic and varied role, including, but not limited to:
• Develop and support drapery and upholstery requirements of our Clients
• Responsible for a rich portfolio of existing clients
• Proactively developing new clients
• Link between customers and the product development team in India
• Deliver sales
• Identify new opportunities
• Customer liaison, communication, visits, developing deep customer relationships — through regular customer contact and visits, both nationally and occasionally in Europe
• Maintain client lists, sampling/order pipeline documents, pricing/quotations
• Administration and support to CEO
• All aspects of highly focused and efficient Product Lifecyle Management to ensure excellence and focus at all stages of development
• Regular update of product samples

The candidate
You will either have a degree in woven textiles, or relevant work experience, with a sales/commercial/customer facing approach to design, and solid technical understanding of weaving, ideally with experience in manufacturing, and the ability to discuss design changes and constructions.

Able to work across a broad spectrum of styles, you will also have a delicate sensitivity to colour and a keen interest in and understanding of the interiors/furnishings market.

A highly organised, methodical and deadline driven person, you are self-motivated, dynamic and commercial, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a fast paced customer facing environment.

You will have strong attention to detail and are well versed in Microsoft/Excel and PLM.
