1.Complete an entry form – which you can obtain from gary.ferguson@norfolkhouse-uk.com
2. Submit a maximum of 3 different designs, which can take any form e.g. drawings, CAD print outs, paintings, samples of textiles – woven, printed, knitted or embroidered etc. – which you have personally created within the last year.
3. Although the designs do not need to be in repeat – they should be suitable for at least one furnishing textile product, e.g. upholstery, curtains, window blinds, wall hangings, passementerie, bedding or table linen.
4. Each design should be a maximum of A1 in size, but you can supply them mounted or unmounted. We recommend the designs work as a collection and can be used in the same room for different products – but this does not have to be the case.
5. Designs do not have to have been created especially for the competition, but the copyright must belong to you or to the company you presently work for (if this is the case, you must provide a letter of agreement, from a director of the company, that you may use the design/s to participate in this competition and that they agree to the work being exhibited under your name, not the company’s).
6. Submissions must be delivered to Norfolk House, 134 Dunthorne Way, Grange Farm, Milton Keynes, Bucks, MK8 0LW by Wednesday 31 July at the latest, along with a completed application form, your CV and a photograph of yourself.
7. Each design must be labelled at the back with a clear description attached with intended end use with your name and address.
8. Judging will take place from during August and all applicants will be informed of the results by 31 August.
9. Unsuccessful candidates – may collect their work during September or have it returned to them by the end of September. We will send artwork back by recorded delivery but if it is lost we cannot take responsibility.
10. All short listed designers as well as the winners will have their work exhibited at the BITA SHOWCASE – FREE OF CHARGE (between 5 – 22 September 2013) and they may collect it or have it returned by end October.
11. The winners will be required to attend the BITA Showcase exhibition on one of the dates where the award will be presented. So please keep one of the show dates free in your diary (see www.interiortextiles.co.uk).
12. The judges’ decision will be final and legally binding on all entrants and no correspondence can be entered into.
They look forward to receiving your application and design work and should you need any advice or information in the meantime, do not hesitate to contact Diane  on diane@norfolkhouse-uk.com
